Branch was an inhabitant of the Rocks on Stoneship. As a boy he appeared from elsewhere and befriended Emmit, then Will and Atrus when he arrived. He helped Atrus build the lighthouse that attracted more people to dwell there.
He may have had children, but all who lived on The Rocks were dead or gone by the time the tyrannical and bloodthirsty reigns of Sirrus and Achenar were finished.
