The eighteenth King of D'ni.

Born in 3105, Tejara was the first born of King Rakeri. It's said that he was gifted, but used his intelligence and cleverness for his own personal gain throughout his life. He had two younger brothers, whom most believed that they would be more adequate, but rumors say that it was Tejara who convinced his own father that he was the perfect choice for the throne. He took the throne in 3219 at the age of 114 and unfortunately he didn't follow his father's footsteps of piety and honor.

Tejara was a masterful pretender and very few could see through his lies during his reign, which was directed by his personal gain. He was uninterested to religion and never did anything to encourage his people one way or another, but also did nothing to prevent those who wished to believe a certain way, from doing so. Thus the D'ni people remained strong and focused, thanks to the words and teachings of Tevahr that stayed in their hearts. They managed to focus on their personal lives and Yahvo more than their King.

The Palace underwent a major renovation in 3271.

Tejara had ordered a beautiful and amazing Age written by two Writers, which was presented to him in 3279 by the Guild of Writers, known as The King's Age. As was later discovered, the two Writers eventually "died" of mysterious illnesses after their work was done.

Tejara was married and there were many rumors of multiple other "companions". Though officially Tejara had 3 sons, it's possible that he actually fathered 12 sons and 7 daughters, an exorbitant number for a D'ni. He was extremely jealous especially of his wife and the other women in his life.

Tejara perceived lustful looks from his oldest brother and in 3285 he was imprisoned for the "creation of illicit Ages", a crime he vehemently denied. Tejara feigned great sorrow at the sentencing.

Knowing that a man many years earlier, had a relationship with one of Tejara's lovers, long before Tejara had met her, he ordered him killed. As he was a Guild Master of the Guild of Miners, he was killed in a freak accident while inspecting the progress of new tunnels in 3298.

Tejara died in 3422 at the age of 317 and left the throne to his "third" son Ti'amel, althugh there were rumors that he was the first son of one of his younger maidens.

During his reign, most of the people thought of Tejara as a decent king. Some began to judge his reign by his son, but it was much later, when truths were revealed about his schemes and assassinations, and the public's opinion truly changed.
